However, please don't go down the path of turning this into a mental health issue by saying that your DC is "easily triggered." S/he is anxious and on-edge. That is normal with this level of uncertainty. Sorry, but that's part of life and growing up. This will not be the last time your DC has to wait for something, when others don't. The life lesson here is to do your best and then carry on. That's all any of us can ever do.
Thank you, good reminder. I definitely won’t let it turn into a mental health issue. I am curious if other kids are also on the edge. With covid, I don’t meet my mom friends face to face a lot, and I feel that I am not getting a lot of feedback or truth via texts. Thank you for sharing!
