Not sure if you're familiar with Airport Parties, but they can be a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people. They say "Screens Are Mean" and "Screens Are Not In Our Genes" so you're unlikely to find much on line. But ask around. Airport Parties are fun!

I’m not looking for a relationship right now but meetups have been great for making friends. Just try out a few things you are interested in.

+1 meetups have worked well for me as have just joining hobbies (in my case a gym with classes)

Its kind of dating as you don't have a connection or belong to a group so if this wont workout, there is no ackwardness.

I’ve heard of the Bumble friend thing a PP mentioned. Not sure if it works for people or not.

Most of my friends are from school, college or work but this sounds useful if I move to a new town.

If you’re in the DC area, Washingtonian Problems (on Instagram) does a “friend match” every other month or so. People post a few details about themselves and then you can respond. You can post for yourself.

There are friend meeting apps . I think Bumble has a friend option.
