That shouldn't matter. He said goodbye to them when he left. I am sure NE fans would love the honor of him retiring as a Patriot, but I think that ship has sailed.
Love him or hate him, he had a hell of a career - so many records! Wondering what is next for him? Coaching? Commentating?
