Truly wonderful story around how these kids in an Ugandan orphanage spread so much joy with their viral dance videos - and are changing their lives in the process. So much love, empathy, dance and music in that community …
I did not realize that the Netflix documentary about the Masaka Kids Africana, called Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within, was produced by Prince Harry & Meghan (premiered in December 2025) until I looked for more info online. They don’t highlight themselves at all.
It showcases how orphaned and deserted children in Uganda use dance to find healing, spread hope, and gain global fame through their viral videos. Their city is very hard hit by AIDS (including children) and then had a double whammy during the Pandemic. The Masaka Kids desire to boost others through dance ended up healing themselves and opening up many doors and dreams for education and successful adult lives.
Maybe we could all learn from these kids….
