It’s a showcase game, who cares
What is a showcase game? Do they still keep score and try to win?
Showcase games can be rostered very differently in order to get all players seen as much as possible. Coaches obviously want the team to play well but there is no medal to win, there are no showcase “standings”. These are simply competitively matched scrimmages.
Kids playing in showcase games are generally more concerned with how they play versus the result.
This doesn’t mean they don’t want to win but they also know that not a single college coach who may be watching will ever ask “what’s the score?”

This is utter BS. Obviously youre a parent from a lower team- because with now 10 years of my kids being on top teams and playing at Showcases, Ive seen no difference in rostering from non showcase tourneys and league plays, except when a team gets a big lead and the 2nd stringers get play time (which is what happens anyways).

The parents, players and coaches will care about this match. VDA will get a reality check. My prediction is FCV 2 VDA 0.
