I cannot even imagine how weird it would be to hear someone order a shirley temple at a work dinner!

Just get club soda with lime or splash of cranberry juice.

Just order what you normally drink or order a club soda with lime. Nobody cares.

Will you be at the table or going to the bar? The bar is easier. You can get cranberry and seltzer on ice, Sprite on ice with a lime ... I have done juice in a wine glass but the color can give you away.

My husband in these situations always gets a club soda with lime.

I like the idea of an Arnold Palmer, too.

My husband doesn't drink. He always orders an Arnold Palmer. It's iced tea and lemonade, but it has a name that makes it sound like it might be a mixed drink, and it looks like something interesting.

Or you can just tonic with lime.

Hi, please help me with a non-alcoholic drink order for an upcoming business dinner. Eveeryone else will be drinking. I know it sounds lame to not want to appear to be the only non drinker but for anxiety-sake, what do I order that might look like a real drink. Not iced tea or sprite or something obvious. Sorry to be lame. Thanks.
