Maybe she wakes up after you do? Maybe she has a morning recurring call or workout routine. Maybe she’s trying to not appear clingy. Maybe she truly isn’t clingy. Maybe she’s walking a pet or making her morning coffee?

OP, are you also a woman? If you're not, it may be that she's old-fashioned about the man initiating.

I'm a feminist and yet....it would bother me when a man I was dating didn't text first. My now DH nearly always initiated conversations and that is what I prefer.

Two dates but they’ve been spaced out bc of the holidays and life circumstances. And we have another one planned and she keeps saying we should do this or that. And we did have one long phone call, she’s said she’s not a phone person.
