This is not entirely true. I do agree much of improved speed is endurance. We have a brilliantly fast girl on our team who peters out in the 2nd half all the time. You can improve sprinting speed and while I agree part of it is natural athleticism, a good part of speed (in the 2nd half especially) is really endurance.

This completely annoys me as I’m paying for the coach to train soccer not fitness. Curious what other teams do. This is an ECNL team, so especially curious for those teams they f this is a norm
