Absolutely not. If I hear a heart murmur in a dog- they get referred to the Cardiologist. I don't see a dime from that. Literally $0.00- and that's fine. I'm sorry that you dont understand that a person could want to do the right thing for no financial gain. Honestly, that says a lot about you.

Ours had the same at his first checkup with the breeder’s vet, then at his first visit with our vet, he couldn’t hear it at all. It’s the least serious murmur, and the vet just said they’d keep an eye on it, but it probably resolved on its own.

Many if not most heart murmurs are of no concern at all or represent something that progresses so slowly that it will never become an issue in your dog's lifetime.

It is worth getting an evaluation at CVCA (many branches locally and in the region: https://www.cvcavets.com/ ) so you know what you are dealing with. Follow their advice on diet and further monitoring, but definitely don't panic! All the people at CVCA are wonderful.

What breed?

It could be totally benign. You could do a cardio ultrasound for the peace of mind. Expensive but worth it. Our dog had this last year, turns out t is just the way her heart is built.

Had our first vet visit this week. Pup is 8 weeks old and vet said he heard a grade 1 intermittent heart murmur. Should we be concerned? How common is this in puppies? Worried about our little guy. TIA!
