Au pairs are not really employees, it’s host “family” in the Jeffersonian sense.

What can you say, OP? Love is love. People get lonely.

This is sweet: I don’t have a problem with the original pairing OP started with, but in fact, if this relationship didn’t work out it could pose far more of a problem than an pair/teacher. In theory only, of course, it could be very awkward or even lead to nanny quitting if they had a bad breakup. It still wouldn’t be up to you who they date, but it highlights even more how ridiculous OP’s concerns are.

If this is just a random au pair, then I don't see the problem.

Only if it is your au pair. If your kid's teacher is dating someone else's au pair (for a family/kid in your kid's class?) I sympathize that you have to figure out how to handle that with your kids but beyond that. . . at least he's not married.

She probably wants him for a green card.

What would you “say to the school”? The school has no input over who an employee dates. It’s a consensual adult relationship.

When au pair pair dumps teach and teach takes it on the kid, then can I say something?

No dating the teacher au pair. That is not a good situation at all.

Should I say anything about this? I know him personally as 3 of my kids have already had him as a teacher. He is a very nice man but just feels weird to me. He is also nearly 40, divorced, and she is 22.
