Why would you mask an 18-month old?

It's hard to tell if the EO applies to the private setting. I'm just hoping more private schools realize that it was optional all along for under 5 and perhaps the off ramp is here. Would love names of any institutions that are more forward thinking!

I know there is some confusion as to whether the EO applies to them but, at a minimum, there is definitely not a mandate anymore. So curious if anyone attends a full day preschool/pre K program that has promised to go optional next week?
Thanks!
