Since they like seafood, I'd ship them something from Ivy City Smokehouse--delicious and nice to have the DC area kid send something from DC. If there are good bagels near them it's nice to get those locally.

If not, I'd skip Ivy City and send something from Russ and Daughters or Zabar's where you can get bagels and fish in a single shipment.

I have sent a few packages from Spoonful of Comfort and had good feedback from people who received it. It's a nice amount of food for the money. My mom actually ordered the corn and potato chowder for herself after I sent it because she liked it so much (she justified the expense by re-gifting the other things in the box as a hostess gift).

Check out Goldbelly. Lots of options. Tamales and honey baked ham are my go-to options.

My go to is Honey Baked Ham - they have veggie sides, but I also recently sent from Omaha Steaks. They have all kinds of mains and sides, including veggies as well.

My mom had knee surgery and I wanted to send a meal or gift card (they don't live nearby). There aren't a ton of good restaurant options that do takeout close to them, the one that was previously my go-to for things like this has ceased their takeout operations. So I was looking at some options to send them a couple meals- can't be a huge volume as they don't have a lot of freezer space, which limits some options that have minimum order requirements. Any ideas? Seafood is the common denominator for them, my mom doesn't eat a lot of meat and my dad doesn't eat a lot of vegetables- lol! I was actually considering just sending my mm a soup pack from Soupergirl and still might, I just know my dad wouldn't eat any of it (which is not the end of the world, she'll need some easy things to heat up for lunch for a while when he goes back to work). But firsty I wanted to canvas to see if anyone has other suggestions! TIA.
