Subject: Any local distilleries make apple Brandy?
Well, that was a normal-sounding question and not market-y at all.
The local distillery where I bought mine is sold out, but it does still have its godawful "bourbon" in stock.

Sangfroid is a local distiller focused on fruit brandies. They are in Hyattsville.
Republic Restorative offers a limited amount, called Chapman.
Catocin Creek has offered one in the past, not sure about now.

Apple Brandy is quintessentially American and has deep roots to American heritage. In fact, the oldest licensed distillery in the US is dedicated to making Applejack. It was a favorite from Geroge Washington all the way up to John Steinbeck and the Prohibitionists who loved to drink the Jack Rose cocktail. I'm a bit dismayed that we seem to be losing this heritage of a drinking spirit that is truly American and had been enjoyed many prominent members in America all throughout history. Are there any distillers in the region who are making quality Applejack these days?
