If it’s by the side of the field and not the middle then they will ask you to move. It’s so the kids have enough room to take corners. I only know this because I was asked to move. No big deal. Just move.

My guess is that OP is either the assistant coach or the spouse of assistant coach and is crowdsourcing for validation for being so butthurt. Either way, of course the dad that moved his chair back is an ass. This does not require further confirmation.

We were 6 inches in front of a cone with the imaginary line and the assistant dad coach came over to us and told us to move back. So we did.
