I found a 10 lb bag of Perdue chicken leg quarters for just $7.99, but the chicken section was otherwise almost empty.

Ip - they priestly filled your order at night/after hours. At that point, the shelves are picked over They close-out your list and move on to the next 50 people in the online que.

Meanwhile, the trucks arrive at 5am and restocking begins.Sure, now things are in stock, but the staff aren't going to go through the list of "clised out" orders from ladt night or to double check OOS .

They didn't lie to you Op. At the time they were filling your order, the chicken truly was out of stock. Sure, had they waited the next day or even for the 3rd shift to arrive the chicken would've be stocked, but by that time they already moved on and working on someone else's order.

Maybe the shipment hadn't come in when they filled your order. Our HT doesn't get shipments in until nearly mid-day.

It's been ok. I prefer not to shop in person right now, and I just deal with teenagers doing the shopping. I think they must have a lot of demand and a lot of staff out right now, given my latest experiences.

This is why I always do my own shopping.

This is my first bad experience with them. I've even been lucky enough to get shoppers who picked good produce for me! I don't mind the few missing items each week because I do understand that things go out of stock.

My only other snafu I experienced was unpacking my groceries and realizing that they'd forgotten to grab a bag out of the cooler. I called, ran back for it, and it wasn't too big of a deal at all.

I will say, the lines have gotten much better! They send a text now that says something like "let us know when you're on your way" and then when you arrive in the vicinity of the store, it dings that you've arrived and they start loading the groceries up. Longest wait I've had since they implemented this new technology is maybe 5 minutes. IA, early in the pandemic the lines were pretty long.

I was going to say something to the Manager who is usually at the customer service counter, but no one was there today and I was short on time since I was running this errand on my lunch break. I'm going to definitely send an email.

I would rather they contact me and say "I'm sorry, we don't have the staff to select your groceries to make your time slot. Can we reschedule?" But lying?

I have a feeling that what happened is that they picked all the nonperishables last night after closing, since that's their new thing with closing at 9, and then the person this morning who was supposed to pick the perishables just hit the left half of the store and called it done. Milk, yogurt, sour cream, a few frozen items that I needed and received were all on the left side. Meat, produce, and cheese are more on the right side and were the items that were out of stock, according to them.

Several blatant lies at Costco got me so peeved I yelled at the kids in the tire center. Now I feel bad about yelling at them when it wasn't even them doing the lying, but blatant lies are the worst. They did a great job with switching out tires plus balancing them well, and I'm grateful I can depend on the quality of their work. But the lies from a couple of store employees - seriously, very obnoxious.

It’s perfectly safe to grocery shop. And yes teens and young 20-year olds don’t really know how to pick groceries. I do not view grocery shopping as risky at all. I never stopped since the beginning of Covid and never got Covid.

If you're picking up an order today before The Big Storm and they call to let you know nearly everything you ordered is out of stock... go inside!

The call this morning from them said that none of the 4 types of meat I ordered were in stock. Chicken, sure I believed that one because it's so hard to find, but ground beef? Pork? Ground turkey? I had a feeling, so I pulled into a space after they loaded my groceries and ran inside with my list of out of stock items.

The meat section was fully stocked except for chicken! I even asked on the phone, "there's no meat at all? Like no substitutions?" and the caller said "no ma'am, sorry."

I also found the salad dressing, veggies, and OJ they had on my list of out of stock items. Now, were there some items on my list that were really out of stock? Sure, absolutely, which I expected and which has been the norm during most of this pandemic. There's always about 3-5ish things a week OOS. After I found everything on my list, I was left with the typical 4 items that were OOS.

I get that the store is insanely packed (no carts when I went in + very, very long lines) because of the storm and I understand that they are probably short staffed... but don't lie! That's what I'm most peeved about.

If you don't have the staff to fulfill the orders, restrict the amount of orders for each time slot. Other establishments are restricting hours and services due to staffing issues. The blatant lie is very upsetting and makes me rethink renewing my annual pass next month.
