I think current $7,500 is still in place but the BBB was to include increases for like US built and union built I think?

Sort of but not really:

Polestar is a Swedish automotive brand established in 1996 by Volvo Cars' partner Flash/Polestar Racing and acquired in 2015 by Volvo, which itself was acquired by Geely from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China in 2010.[1] It is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden[2] with vehicle production taking place in China.

Just spent some time looking at Rivian R1S. It looks impressive. Config is like $75k before incentives (cheaper than BMW but more than a bunch of other ones I was looking at). Nearest service/delivery location now or near future looks to be in Richmond, but ok. Not sure how what to think about "new" brand. Though biggest thing is that delivery is not anytime soon if one ordered today.

As shared on the Rivian Owners Forum and reported by The Drive, the automaker confirmed its drawn-out delivery schedule in SEC paperwork dated Nov. 5. According to the filing, "Based on our current production forecast, we expect to fill our preorder backlog of approximately 55,400 R1 vehicles by the end of 2023."

If I wanted to wait, it does look interesting.

We just bought a Volvo XC60 recharge and love it. It's a hybrid plug-in. If you want fully electric they do have an XC40.

I think they meant the details of the car are unknown

Thanks. A friend recently got a Polestar and has been happy with it. Unfortunately, few details and timeline on the Polestar 3 (SUV) model.

We are about to purchase a polestar 2 and honestly I love it. I find the styling a lot better than some other EVs. It isn't an SUV, but I imagine an SUV from them will be sharp looking.

We recently test drove the ID.4 and it was fine. It just felt like a basic SUV nothing excited. Hard to tell the difference between it and an EV when driving. The infotainment system is basic. I think the ID.4 would be an easy transition from an ICE vehicle because it is so similar. Even still has a push button start. I didn't really like the dash panel display, but honestly the only model they had for us to test drive was the basic model, so may have been better with a more lux model.

Thanks. I had looked at mach e but unfortunately it doesn't support roof racks.

Seems like so many EVs are coming mid to late 2022 though could easily shift into 2023. Some aren't coming until 2023. Does anyone have any thoughts on SUV models? Trying to balance delivery date, size, features, and of course price is a consideration. Some in the mix:

* Nissan Ariya
* VW ID.4
* Polestar 3 (though little known)
* Toyota bZ4X
* Audi Q4 eTron (Q6 not starting prod until 2023)
* BMW iX (really like this though a little on the pricey end but not definitely nixed)

There are others...
