Yes!
I am regularly on here critical of MCPS. But about this, I think they’re doing fine. And I think McKnight - who was left a mess by Jack Smith, and took over in the middle of an incredibly chaotic situation - is doing a good job.

There are many things we can gripe about re MCPS, but I am quite alright with school staying open. We can't shut down because a few people want things closed. Should they communicate and report better than they have? Absolutely. But no more shutdowns.

MCPS does not control the Omicron wave, and certainly did nothing to mitigate hospital saturation or avoid viral spread. Instead, we had chaos and continue to have chaos. We should have done a 2 week pivot to virtual after the Holiday break (all live instruction, etc).
MCPS will ride out the Omicron wave without system-wide closures and will pat themselves on the back, when they're incompetent idiots.
