As a 30 year old first time mom, I was the youngest mom at daycare by far. I felt lots of side eye when my first started Pk4 as people seemed to think I was very young and I got a couple of snide comments about my age. As a 35 year old mom of my second, I was still on the young side of the daycare moms, but no longer the youngest and not as far away from the other moms in that child’s peer group.

First of all, do you think there is a DC "book" where that type of rule is codified??

Second of all, WHO CARES?

Please tell me that you are not deciding when you have your child based upon whether DCUM posters think it is the right time for you to do so???

I think she's just asking. Chill.

I was 32 when I had my first baby. Everyone in my baby playgroup was 30-36. We had one mom over 40. We had one mom under 30 out of 16. 32 was the typical age in my group. You won’t be old at all! 😊

No I find most UMC, college-educated women have babies from about 30-35. First baby at 34 seems normal.
