I love Alice, a classic and strong name.

Paloma is like naming your kid Margarita.

Nice list! I like all but Gwendolyn. Are there any potential nicknames for Paloma? It's a very pretty name but agree it may be a bit of a stretch.

Juliet is having a moment, if that matters to you. (Along with Julianna, Guilianna, Julia, Juliette, etc.)

Paloma is beautiful but if you don't have a Spanish/Latin heritage or connection it seems like a stretch pick. But if you do, this is my vote.

My husband is half Mexican, but I agree, it feels like a stretch to me. That’s my concern.

I would use it in this case. I think it's the most beautiful on your list without sounding frothy (Gwendolyn).

I really like your list.

I would rank them: Miranda, Juliet, Paloma, Gwendolyn, Alice

Miranda and Paloma are the least used. I agree that Paloma seems Spanish/Italian.

Alice or Juliet. Is your dh Spanish? Is that why he likes Paloma? Maybe you could use it as a middle name?

It's a good list. My personal favorite is Miranda, but not my baby! The only one I think is a bit much is Gwendolyn. Would she go by Gwen? Would you be okay if she went by Gwen.

Otherwise, I'd just sit with this a bit and kind of let the decision make itself. One thing that helped me when I was thinking about how each name made me feel. Names have vibes. Some are calming, some kind of wake you up, some are cheerful, some are musical. The names on your list each give me a slightly different feeling and different associations. Maybe sit down with your husband and each of you write out the associations you get for each and then share them. That might help you tease out which one feels the most right.

Scrap Gwendolyn and Miranda as a starting point.
