Is this her first choice at this point in the process? Then, yes. Is she trying to notch admissions, then probably still yes.

Davidson wanted a list of every book you had read in the last year or 3 or something.

One school wanted to know who you would invite to a dinner party (dead or alive), why and what you would cook.

(I actually thought that second one was interesting...but it is like they are trying to invade your kid's brain. The poor 17 year olds sure get a mental workout trying to game it all out!)

Lots of schools are offering this now. It is instead of an interview. My take is that it will help if you do it, but it won’t hurt if you don’t. My daughter felt the same way. It’s agonizing because all those supplements are time consuming and stressful. This is an added layer of stress that takes a bit of planning before the execution.

When my DS applied there, they had a crazy amount of essays compared to other schools. BTW, he was accepted, but ultimately went somewhere else.

Two years ago my dd had visited and interviewed and then when it came time to apply, she decided that 5 supplementals wasn’t worth her time and effort and she never even applied. Wake really needs to sit down and take a deep breath. They just aren’t as high and mighty as they think they are.

Wake Forest demanded the most when my DCs applied 5 years ago. It’s not an Ivy people. Wasted a lot of time on their application.
