A good sibling pair would be Cheyenne and Jackson.

Lol. Then they can name their third kid Laramie. There is also a town in Wyoming called Casper, so that could be used as well. Plenty of Wyoming towns to choose from!

This is the worst advice I've seen on DCUM in months, and that's saying something.

Jaxxonn is better.

It reminds me of the show Reba. Cheyenne was the 16 year old daughter who got pregnant.

I don't know about cultural appropriation, but it sounds low class.

I’m from the west and also associate it with the city. It’s a pretty name, I knew several girls names Cheyenne growing up.

1. Yes, it’s appropriation.
2. She’ll be called “Shy Anne.”

I know both a little boy and a little girl with the name, either related to the tribe at all.

My husband and I both love the name Cheyenne, however we are worried we could be accused of cultural appropriation or being culturally insensitive. Is this justified or are we overthinking it? If there are any indigenous peoples on here, I would love to hear your thoughts. I know it’s not your responsibility to educate us, but I’m really trying to understand and would appreciate it so much. Thank you.
