There are a million diet fads for autoimmune disease. Exercise and a generally healthy diet (Mediterranean diet is the one with the most research supporting it for health in general) can be helpful.
20 years ago the diet fad for RA was super low fat, then it was fasting followed by a vegan diet.
I did see a study asking RA patients what foods helped their RA, and blueberries were the most common response. The most commonly reported things for making it worse were desserts and sugar.
There are a ton of great medicines for RA. If you have a good doctor, they'll work with you until something helps. Early treatment is key to stop your joints from being permanently damaged.
