We often alternate roast chicken with pork tenderloin and roast beef. Easy to keep the protein on the plain side and make a sauce for those who want something more interesting.

I know this might not be what you’re looking for but I grew up in England where we had roast chicken almost every Sunday. As did most of my friends. We had it with roast potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and veg… the veg sometimes changed.

Pulled pork BBQ in the crock pot, sandwich buns, cole slaw, baked beans, green beans.

Might also get a pork roast and put it in the crockpot for pork BBQ. A little casual, but you could make homemade Mac and cheese to go with it, maybe some roasted broccoli.
But you’d have to get the pork roast in the crockpot pretty soon. It takes all day.

Spaghetti and meatballs. I use the Betty Crocker recipe for meatballs— they get baked n the oven— and my own recipe for sauce. Let the sauce cook slowly for about 2.5 hours.
Some garlic bread and salad.

I served roast broccoli and pasta bake to a similar crew last night and had minimal leftovers.

Hi! Anyone have recs for a Sunday dinner that both my picky children and inlaws who prefer traditional American cuisine will like? Something in the pot roast zone, but not that specifically bc my kids hate the meat texture of pot roast. I am a decent cook who can follow a recipe, I have all day, and have a slow cooker and an Instant Pot.

I would just do roast chicken but we had that last week!!
