OP I give you permission to feel sorry for yourself. Omicron sucks.

Agree with these. The risk is just too high.

This. Sorry. You protect your baby.

You decided to have a baby during a pandemic.

I have a 4 week old with health issues and I have no sympathy for you, OP. You are so lucky this is your “problem.” I have to go to childrens hospitals for specialists and always worry about covid and my only walk has been in my driveway. You have a healthy kid don’t f it up because you’re bored.

You thought new motherhood would be different in a pandemic with a baby born in the winter? Not to mention two recent snowstorms?

Walks. - go quickly in to get a coffee with baby in carrier and good mask. Take out. Hopefully that is enough for a while. Join an online moms group PACE or something like that.

Find other moms on maternity leave in your neighborhood and go for walks. Newborn life in the winter is rough even without a pandemic.

It sucks, but try and hang in there a few more weeks yet.

You should be scared to throw caution to the wind. You have to protect your newborn. This omicron is extremely contagious. Your baby gets a fever and he/she gets hospitalized and a spinal tap.

Just hang in. Go for walks without the baby if you’re going stir crazy. But you have to keep that baby safe. And

If you are vaccinated baby was born with passive immunity. Give it 6 more weeks for omicron to blow over then give yourself permission to have a life. Can you find people willing to meet outdoors? Maybe a coffee and a walk will hold you over.

How old is your baby? I’d feel much more comfortable after the 4-6 month mark
