I love the cupcakes here!

Georgetown Cupcake is $42 and you can customize the decoration with letters, shapes, numbers. I find them to be delicious.

My MIL gets some cupcakes from Giant from behind the bakery glass that are pretty tasty too - not prepackaged but sold individually.

Good question. I paid $20 for 1/2 dozen Georgetown Cupcakes and I found them too sweet and not that good.

I was going to say Lavender Moon Cupcakery in Old Town, but it looks like they're temporarily closed for renovations. But once they reopen their cupcakes are divine and last time I went were $3/each, so easily under $60 for a dozen.

I have gotten custom cupcakes here for $36 per dozen. I feel like $3 per cupcake is pretty standard at anywhere but the grocery store.

Does this exist in DC anywhere besides grocery store bakeries? Maybe it's a unicorn, but I just was hoping to find a place to get a dozen assorted cupcakes (they don't have to be THAT fancy, just better than a Giant bakery) and not blow more than $50-60 dollars in the process. Is that a pipe dream? Willing to travel to close in PG for options, too.
