I had a bleed starting the day after a positive ultrasound, followed by almost 2 weeks of brown spotting. My fertility clinic told me that it was normal, and would not bring me in for another ultrasound before my next scheduled appointment. Everything was fine, they identified where the spotting was coming from and said I may bleed even more (I did not). Currently 24 weeks and healthy.

OP here - I agree with the most recent PP that I just have to wait it out until my next scan in 2 weeks. I did call my nurse again though, and she said not to worry since the spotting is brown and minimal (i.e. not an active bleed). She also said spotting is a little more common in IVF pregnancies and could have been caused by the US. Time will tell, but I still have nausea, so that's a good sign at least. Thanks, everyone.

PPs - there is nothing that can be done this early in pregnancy to stop a miscarriage. Most miscarriages this early are chromosomal anyway. Sit tight OP, try to distract yourself. There is nothing to be done but to run out the clock and see how it goes.

Call your doctor - you should not spot for 11 days

I was told by my OB that blood isn't a good sign. Can you make an appointment with your doctor?

Not uncommon to spot early in pregnancy. Likely has nothing to do with the ultrasound. If you saw a heartbeat you are 90% out of the woods so try to take comfort in that.

Has anyone experienced spotting the day after a transvaginal ultrasound? I’m 6 weeks 6 days and so far my betas were high, and we saw a solid heartbeat of 138 yesterday at my SGF ultrasound. But I’ve been spotting almost every day for about 11 days (just a little brown spotting each day), and today there's even more brown spotting. I wonder if it has to do with yesterday's ultrasound. My nurse told me not to worry, but spotting for so many days is really taking a toll emotionally - I feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and preparing for the worst, while still trying to hold on to hope.
