If your fit nanny is vaccinated then she does not need to quarantine if she’s exposed to a positive person.

All of this depends on where you are located. Maryland DOH has revised guidelines to match the CDC, but it appears MoCo is wanting guidelines that are stricter.

It’s 5 days. No quarantine if you’ve had covid in the last 90 days and/or are fully vaccinated (including booster, if eligible).

In the case of your nanny, once the family member tests at least 5 days (I think) then she can come back. My sister had an exposure before Christmas. The health department told us that once she tests 4 days post-exposure (so the fifth day) and she was negative, we could assume she was negative.

I don’t think the recommended time is 14 days anymore. Isn’t it test after 4 days for an exposure?
