BUT now fully vaccinated means boosted also if 6 months past their vax. Until middle school kids are boosted, they will have to quarantine.

My kid is in the youngest cohort— about 3-4 wks past 2nd dose at this point, so basically peak immunity and no symptoms. I just haven’t seen anything that defines what a close contact is. For example- if someone has a family member with Covid but is asymptomatic, are they free to go to school without quarantine? (That’s not my situation, just curious)

As long as your kid isn't one of the many 12-15 yo students who were vaccinated right away. They do have to quarantine. (and I hate that) Just look at the survey and answer it honestly.

So- with the new guidelines, close contact kids who are vaccinated don’t have to quarantine (right?)
But is that just for close contacts in the school setting? (Eg masked indoors for more than 15 min). What if it is a more extended, massless exposure?
