NP, but this seems misdirected. OP is the one looking for a "real estate studies" major for her kid.

Let her study whatever she wants and work part time at a brokerage. The only thing I'd focus on is going to school in the market where she wants to work so that she can network and not have to start from zero when she graduates.

I really don’t think it matters- I actually think picking a major he is interested in and excels at would make him/her stand out more. Like a music major then getting experience interning over summers would make a better candidate than “real estate.” in this industry you learn everything by experience and especially in the location you’re interested in working

You do not need to have an undergraduate degree in real estate studies to get into the field.

USC has the best program I know of, but I think a masters in real estate is more useful than an undergraduate degree. My DH works commercial real estate and he majored in civil engineering as an undergrad. It’s been useful to him.

My daughter really enjoyed her time within the real estate major at the Wisconsin School of Business.

Our DD is really interested in going into real estate although not sure whether residential or commercial.
Do any of you have recommendations for strong real estate programs at schools that are strong, but with admit rates that are higher than single digit?

Also what other under grad studies might provide strong foundation for a career in real estate ? My DH and I have no personal experience in real estate.
