Thank you! Just what I needed. My waves are weird because they don’t really start until around my chin (except for some s-curve body, but no real defined waves) but then below my ears some of them actually start to coil. It’s a challenging texture which is why I straightened or wore it short for so long. But I e learned a lot more about my texture in the last year and I’m starting to think a layered cut by someone who really gets my hair would be ideal— create more even texture throughout by removing some of the weight that kind of straightens out my roots. That’s the theory, anyway. I’m nervous about it but think it’s worth a try!
