I bought the NordicTrack 2950 last Christmas and I can’t say enough great things about it. It was purchased as a replacement for a Life Fitness commercial treadmill that finally kicked the bucket and, while not quite as sturdy as something you would find in a commercial gym, it’s pretty solid. I never really loved running but this piece of equipment has made me look forward to my daily runs. They key is the iFit capability, which provides amazing content from world class athletes (think Tommy Rivers Puzy). I only do the “outdoor” runs on the machine, so I can’t speak to the studio classes, but it’s about as close to running outside as you can get. The cool thing is there are a couple optional settings that cause the treadmill to automatically adjust your workout. One allows you to train by target heart rate and will adjust the speed to make sure you stay within your target zone. The other feature is called “Smart Adjust” and it basically adjusts the workouts (speed and incline) to meet you at your fitness level and “learns” as you complete workouts to make sure you stay sufficiently challenged. Given how great thins thing is, I am also considering their bike. I went from running only a couple miles a week to at least 20…this thing is that good. Definitely splurge on the 22 inch screen. It really makes the whole experience immersive.

I bought a top of the line Life Fitness treadmill 15 years ago for $2200 and it is still like new. I love all the features, and it has been very reliable. I was at a hotel recently with a nice gym, and my treadmill is much better than their newer one.
I don't use it for weeks at a time when the weather is good. Still, I am afraid to run outisde in snow and ice and will use it for the new week.

I bought the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 a few months ago and have been very satisfied with it. If I remember right, the price was a little less than $2K.

I got the NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill on Amazon in 2020. Beta purchase. My son and I use it almost daily for runs. It was under $600. See the ratings on Amazon - really good.

Big fan of the peloton treadmill, though I have the tread+ they are not currently selling. Looked at a lot of them. Nothing really competes with what they offer as far as class content and engagement.

Also loving the peloton tread (1 month in). The screen is awesome for doing workouts on the ground too, and the classes are great. It’s a seamless experience. I am glad we didn’t do a regular tread with a phone for classes. It’s also really slim and doesn’t take up as much space as a gym tread.

Bought the Peloton tread one month ago, and love it. Streamlined, attractive design and we wanted the big screen. Good, varied classes a big plus for us. Bought it during the Black Friday special to get the weight set for free. Very happy with it!

Looking for a treadmill for our basement. Budget is $1K - $3K. Don't want anything overly bulky, shaky, or boring.
