Look they think and are told 9-17 year old travel soccer is “elite”. Hell they think college soccer is a high level. I remember seeing an EPL games(great seats) and flying back here. See Georgetown has a game that is convenient. So we head over and watch. There was no comparison -the skill, speed and passing. I enjoyed the game but it was like going back to algebra after sitting in on differential equations. It’s just a reminder that travel soccer is not elite even in the “elite” leagues. It’s the equivalent of watching your kid play peewee football and thinking you know football.

Mbappe’s pace is so good he relies on it too much. Why not right? The elite teams can shut him down(most of the time) and put him in situations that he is uncomfortable in. PSG is a disaster off the field and it shows on the field. They just do not like each other. They need a new manager who can get them playing together. I saw one game where Mbappe, Naymar and Messi had a breakout and were at full pace against two defenders and it just puttered out…that is criminal.

Are you referring to the match against Man City? If it wasn't that match, then these "gods" are overrated.

Messi and Mbappe gave up against one player - Kyle Walker. It was embarrassing. Messi, who I was so excited to watch, literally just stopped running and gave up just past mid field on a break away with Mbappe. I wouldn't blame Poch for that.

He has a World Cup already, so there is that.

World Cup while fun is not the highest level of soccer. It’s not even that competitive.

You're a moron.

TBF, college soccer turns some really good club players into worse versions of themselves. They were probably playing a better brand of soccer while in U17/U18.

He and Messi were so awful in that match against Man City that I don't see them personally dominating anything.

Op did you see that match. At one point Mbappe was on a breakaway to score a goal and Messi was trucking trying to catch up to help. Kyle Walker caught up to defend and Messi just completely stopped. Mbappe also seemed to give up and just conceded the ball to Walker.

Please explain this to me. I've watched a lot of epl and was confounded by what I saw in this match. I was so excited to see PSG with these great players and they were a lot of nothing.
