Drive an hour each way for a kid spa? You’re over thinking this. You can easily do this at home. Buy a set of nail polish. A few animal face masks (the beauty kind, not the covid kind!), give each kid a robe from TJ maxx as a parting gift.

Is this what your dd wants? 8 sounds kinda young to focus on beauty. Ice-skating would be safer ( covid) so you are not stuck inside for over an hour.

No, we weren’t, because our kids’ friends’ parents are smarter than OP.

I wouldn't send my kids to a spa party right now either but saying "no thank you" like your opinion actually matters is stupid.

UsKids! Spa in Alexandria. https://www.uskidsspa.com DD went to a party there when she was about 6. She is not "princessy" at all and I wasn't sure if she would like it, but had a great time. Kids got nails painted, eye/lip makeup, and did a fashion show for the parents followed by karaoke.

You’ll make 8 year olds sit in a car for 2 hours just so they can get a fake pedicure??? Hell no would I have my kid attend. I’m not even going to touch the idea of a “spa” party for 8 year olds. They are kids and will have plenty of time to do adult things.

When my DD was young, I had her invite a few friends over for a beauty sleepover, I gave them each hair brush sets, we did hair conditioner treatments, face masks and I painted their nails.
