This is so stupid. Who cares? If you think this is a dig at you and/or your kid, either you are nuts or your sister is nuts or both.

My former sister-in-law named all of her pets after her nieces and nephews, including naming her cat after my daughter. Her pets don't have masculine or feminine versions of our kids' names; they straight up have the same names.

In my opinion, it is a tad strange, but it is not offensive. I can't imagine being offended.

Why do people always create drama by assuming the worst. Maybe she likes the name. Maybe it’s an homage. Maybe her kids drove the decision. Maybe your kid likes this.
