Babysitter’s rate is $20/hour, but I pay $25/hour just because it’s nyc and the peace of mind is worth giving extra. We also pay for any meals while she is babysitting (we have one child).

At least $30 and hour since there are limited hours available a week. And yes, we pay for food and transport when she is with us.

I have 2 kids but often have a college aged sitter just pick up one kids from school and take him to his activities. The going rate for one kid is $20-25/hour but I have never paid more than $22/hr for one and $25 for both.

If they are babysitting at night I usually pay for an Uber home after 10pm unless they live really close. I never pay for transportation to work though, that’s on them.

How much do you pay your babysitters? I’m looking specifically for college-aged sitters who come once or twice weekly in the afternoons. Do you pay more for 2 or more children? Do you cover transportation costs? Thanks!
