My cousin has a private chef who works for her full-time. They are in the LA area. They pay him in the $40-50k range now (he has worked for them for several years). They hired him from their favorite restaurant. He is responsible for lunch and dinner, and any other events they host. He preps for their breakfast in the morning and that is served by the housekeeper.

Is WaPo still doing their weekly food chat? This might be a good question to ask there.

Yes, how do you find one? This would be super helpful especially when we are all working from home

We had a live in cook at my house growing up. Still lives with my parents and I get to take lots of food home to freeze! So worth it!

I grew up with this every day (M-F) but it was just the housekeeper, not a private chef.

I hear some people have private cooks come over to cook dinner once or twice per week for their families. We both work so this would be awesome. Any good recommendations?
