Yup, had the same experience - I just finished a six-week car-buying process (for a Subaru), and even in that time period I saw MSRP's go up by a few thousand dollars. I got a $500 discount off of MSRP - but the MSRP in late December was about $2,000 higher than it was in early November.
And definitely shop around for the "out the door" price. Garbage add-on fees from dealers are always a problem, but in this environment it is particularly bad.
