“Help with?” It’s equally his job as a parent. We do the work together.

We discussed what to buy, each bought items, each wrapped a few. He’s making breakfast and I’m making dinner. He made dessert. He bought and sent for his family—I did for mine. Etc.

I decorated inside, he did outside. Tree was a family project. We don’t do cards.

I “make Christmas” but he does most of the cooking and grocery shopping. It works for us.

Pretty much nothing.

Oh - he orders tons of gifts via Amazon and does Costco shopping (and places orders for home delivery). Tonight he’s making chili. That’s nice. He strung some lights in our tree and a few outside.

I do all the in store shopping, wrapping, anything related to decorating festively…and then I’ll begin the take down and re-organize process (solo). This year I just didn’t have the energy to go all out and there are still boxes of Christmas dishes and decorations on the carefully organized shelves, untouched.

Same here. One year I did everything, our kids were little and we hosted his entire family for a few days. I didn’t get so much as a thank you from him. I did point this out afterwards and his response was “I just thought that’s what we did!” Clueless.

My husband always ends up with more use or lose at the end of the year because of his travel comp time, so he does most of it.

he barely helps clean up the house when we have people coming over and will usually start doing some unnecessary chore unrelated to the event. yesterday it was washing all the windows (outside only). one time he had scaffolding up putting up a ceiling fan as people were arriving.

This is my husband too! He always engages in a chore that is unrelated to people coming over like cleaning out the shed!

Same same same. He just doesn’t think about Christmas. This year I told him it’s getting old doing it all by myself and he said he’d do better.

Yes, he actually does most of it. He did the tree and lights, all the grocery shopping and cooking and most of the wrapping. I did the cards and always take the kids (one still nursing).
