I’m visiting with my son’s wife and family. My DIL will not drop everything to answer the phone. Even after the ringing has stopped, she won’t rush to the phone to see who called. It’s making me crazy that someone can behave like that. She’s the worst!

My teen son has Covid so we are all masked, and can’t eat together. He’s not too sick, we are all fine, Christmas will still come…but I’m grouchy.

I shouldn’t laugh, but I do. Sorry op! I can’t imagine what my perpetually hungry tween son would do in that scenario! He’d be cranky-pants for sure.

My petty grievance is that my dh decided to open my gift to him early. I got him his favorite whisky as I usually do, and apparently he’s out and decided he wanted a glass now. I’m only mildly annoyed, mainly because I have another gift that I can give him tomorrow.

Have I missed the annual petty complaints thread? If not, I'll begin. My lovely MIL lives alone and has no idea how to scale up meals for the nine people in her house but insists on cooking.
