Hnnnnggggg I love raclette. Had it for the first time on a French trip to Quebec. I wish we had raclette restaurants here. It was two ladies who did the "cooking" and brought us plate after plate of individually melty cheese, stacked up like a sushi restaurant. Hope you find some great cornichons to go with.

There’s a Melting Pot in Annapolis. Best I can do.

I'm prepping my black forest filling; dark sweet cherries with cherry schnapps reduced syrup.

I made two overnight breakfast casseroles: French Toast and Sausage, Egg, Hashbrown; sides: Cranberries, 1950's cherry jello "salad"; and dessert: pecan pie and cherry pie and a trifle. We had pizza for lunch today and we're having fajitas with homemade guacamole and salsal tonight when we get home from Christmas Eve church service. Tomorrow we'll have prime rib, creamed spinach, baked potatoes, roasted carrots and the premade cranberries and jello.

DH baked a pumpkin pie today for dinner tomorrow. I made cranberry sauce and Burgundy mushrooms for dinner tomorrow.

Tomorrow, DH will make breakfast. In the afternoon, I’ll get started on mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey breast and asparagus. We’re only having my brother over, so should be a relaxed day.

Went french for Xmas Eve: cheese fondue (with baguette, baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus), mushroom vol-au-vent, shrimp in garlic butter sauce, winter salad, and buche de Noel, plus Veuve Clicquot.

Growing up we always had pizza for Christmas Eve dinner, because my parents would host Christmas day dinner and my mom would be busy with other things. And we loved it as a tradition.

Now, with my own family, we do our big meal Christmas Eve at home because we travel to my parents for Christmas day dinner. So no prep today as today is my cooking day, but no cooking for me tomorrow. I do think my kids maybe would prefer my childhood tradition but oh well!

Xmas eve is "pizza fondue" and chocolate fondue. We have focaccia, meatballs, and peppers with the pizza fondue and pound cake, fruit, and marshmallows with the chocolate fondue.

Xmas dinner we are usually with relatives but staying home this year because omicron. I'm trying a recipe for cranberry-orange roast chicken + sweet potatoes, green beans, and a chocolate Yule log cake (the cake I have made for several years because I usually bring the dessert).

Just 3 kids and me. Making homemade pigs in a blanket (pizza dough wrapped around hot dogs), curried cauliflower, christmas cookies.

Christmas morning is homemade cinnamon rolls then Chinese takeout for dinner since we will be in hotel that night

Well we are home unexpectedly because I have Covid. I will roast a chicken. I have a few sides from thanksgiving frozen— I made extra and put them aside for a nice mid winter meal that we will dig into early.
Not the grandest meal but it will do.

Lots to do today, but if I get around to cooking, it will be the Charlotte cake. Chocolate and pear!

I’m always overwhelmed on Christmas when I need to cook the big meal, so I plan to prep today.

I’ll bake the pumpkin pie and chocolate cake.

I’ll prep the stuffing and sweet potatoes.

The ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, Parker house rolls and apples will be handled tomorrow.
