OP here. Any Muesli fans? I was looking at Bob's Red Mill brand Muesli, which looks good except there looks like there may be too many raisins.

I can't do Cheerios since last year when I found rat poop pellets in a fresh box. I think I've ruled out General Mills / Kelloggs / Cascadian Farms - the big makers. Just because I assume there's more risk of rat poop, insects, etc. Maybe I should look into Kosher brands.

Same. My kids also like plain Trader Joes bran flakes (not raisin bran), they have 4 g added sugar and are good. For a treat, I occasionally by the Grow Love brand chocolate crispies. They are made from beans and have a lot more protein and fiber than regular coco crispy. 9 grams sugar, which is a lot for everyday, but ok for now and then and still less than others.

Giant is the only place I knew that carried bran flakes without raisins. I’m delighted to know that Trader Joes is also an option. I like to put fruit in mine (bananas, berries, peaches, etc.)

All cereals are lower sugar now except for some of the granola-esque ones or ones with marshmallows. I add honey to my kashi goLean for that sugar high.

I've been Cheerios for decades and have not gotten sick of it. Yet.

Cheerios, Chex, Special K, Kix, Wheaties, Crispex, Frosted Mini Wheats (surprisingly), Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies... there are a lot of choices.

Safeway's O Organics (not Sig.Sel.) Toasted O's have 2 grams and no Cheerios/3Wishes smell. One degree Crisped Rice has 1 gram. Organic milk has 11g (vs 12 g conventional).

I’m just getting back into cereal. But I’m looking and even stuff like Kashi Strawberry Fields is loaded with 10+ grams of sugar which I can’t handle and don’t want to give my already, um, energetic 5 year old. Any recs? Bonus if it’s got some protein/fiber.
