We did $50 for each (teacher and aide), the rest of the class seems to have done much less. I am feeling extra generous this year especially since I've been sitting in my cozy home office while others have had to go into high risk situations. Also, my kid is loving school this year and I know that wasn't a given AT ALL, with his personality. The average seems to be $35 in our classroom.

This year? A Costco sized bottle of liquor. Only half kidding.

Seriously, I’ve been at schools where I got literally nothing and very generous gift cards from the whole class. Anything is appreciated, but nothing is expected. I never felt bad the years I got nothing. Make it easy and do an Amazon or Target gift card for $25.

We're out of boundaries and not really connected with any other parents. It's possible they're doing something but not sure really how to find out.

Hi, we're new to DCPS. What is typical for gifts for teachers? DS is in Kindergarten. Thanks in advance for any advice.
