We have stockings on our fireplace but they’re for decoration only. DD ( now 9) has a personalized sack/bag that her Santa stuff comes in and it gets left by the tree. We all do family gifts but none of us have actual stockings.

I will add - I've suggested to my kids that we drop stockings, but they resisted.

I do the kids (now adults). We've never done stockings for parents - seems unnecessary. It's hard enough to find things for adult kids that aren't expensive (and thus regular gifts) but aren't just junk. I don't want to have to do that for DH too.

Parents don't get stockings in our house. My parents didn't either when I was growing up and it seems really odd to me to see adults with stockings. I stuff my kids stockings.

I do and stuff them Christmas Eve.

DH noticed a few yrs ago that I never had a thing in my stocking so now he makes sure I get some fun items.

Our stocking gifts are always candy, maybe perfume or socks and other very small items.

I do stuff my own but also encourage DH to take DD to get something for everyone's stockings. She still believes in Santa but we are open that family contributes to stockings also, Santa can't bring everything.

I’m a mom, No thinks to stuff my sticking. I think Xmas stockings are the most fun too!
