Just dress up as if you were in person. Don't do pajama bottoms underneath, you'll get paranoid they can see it and be distracted.

Dress up for sure. And wear the full,outfit, just in case you stand up. Also find a neutral background or use a filter.

Whew ok thanks for the reassurance. I just don’t want to look like a complete a-hole if I’m in a blouse and jacket while everyone else is in their loungewear.

I just interviewed six people last week over Zoom and the only clothing that stood out to me was overly casual (a graphic t). The person was well qualified, but the clothing was distracting in a bad way.

I've done several video interviews over COVID and always do a jacket with a colorful shirt underneath. Not loud or bright but something with a bit of a pattern to it. Your interviewers may still be casual but no one will fault you for wearing a jacket. It's fine.

First time I’m doing a video (teams) interview and not sure what to wear. My current job has been in person except for a few weeks in March/April so I’ve been going to work this whole time in my regular professional attire. The interview is with a large federal agency. If it were in person I would do my standard dark skirt suit with white/cream/ivory blouse. I assume I should do the same, at least from the waist up, for a video interview? Or am I going to look absurd since most so many other people have been doing casual WFH looks for the past nearly two years?
