Not common but it happens. If you are an adult and this is the first time it’s happened, obviously not that common.

I don’t buy a lot of processed snacks, so was wondering if this was more common now especially with fewer workers. I got Cheerios for the first time in a decade because we had a car trip and I wanted a single serve tub for my toddler… I opened the seal and found mouse poop inside the cereal.

And yes I realize about rat hairs and stuff in processed food and bad things happen in restaurants, but it’s different from crunching into a chip and seeing a nasty bug fried right into the next chip. But I hate bugs

No but it’s just a lot of legs and same shape. Definitely not a fly. Could be an extra gross skinny beetle I guess? I don’t know ugh ugh

Are you sure it’s a roach?

I found a pieceof a plastic bag baked into a Sara Lee bagel. I didn’t call but I avoid Sara Lee products now.

I found a bug in a cooked brussel sprout once and it turned me off of them for years. Now I soak all veggies in water and tinse well between the leaves.

It’s probably a potato bug. I used to work for a all-natural fruit bar company and, despite our best efforts, sometimes a pit or leaf or (god forbid) a bug, would end up in a bar. We would always apologize profusely and offer free replacement or a refund. We also logged the package (lot number) and purchase information.

Absolutely let them know. I found a bug in a salad from a well-known salad chain, and they really went above and beyond in their response. Seemed genuinely apologetic, said they would work it into their training, and sent me a slew of coupons.

Freshly opened bag, there’s a bug kind of burrowed and fried in the edge of a potato slice. I don’t really want to look too closely again but it’s not a fly but may be something grosser. Ugh ugh ugh
Do I reach out to the company and let them know? Is this par for the course with processed food?
