I have 3 under 5 and we do appetizer dinner on Christmas Eve!! It's a HUGE hit with the toddlers. I do it up pretty fancy for them too. Some hits: sparkling apple juice ("toddler champagne"), shrimp in a martini glass with cocktail sauce on the bottom, pigs in a blanket. This year I'm thinking cheese fondue too.

We have a fancier Christmas dinner of crab legs and prime rib. But for Christmas I'm not as pressed for time and have longer to cook after opening presents.

I am personally a fan of snacks for dinner on Christmas, since we do a big brunch. Cheese/charcuterie, some dips, frozen apps.

I love grazing, but realize some people require an actual meal.

A third vote for lasagna with yummy bread and a salad.

We usually have a lasagna. Serve with salad and store-bought french bread that you finish baking in the oven.

Last year we ordered from Farmers and Distillers and it was good.

I agree on ordering out (and even agree on Willard's and Wegmans). I also think a make ahead like lasagna or pot roast or the like that can be served with less effort would go over well in my house.

We ordered bbq from a local restaurant last year and it was so nice!! This year we are back at my parents house and my mother expects a full turkey meal. Basically a repeat of Thanksgiving. It is my family of 6 and my parents. They are getting older and can't stand for long so my family will do all of the cooking and clean up. We will all put a smile on our face and eat the meal and in our heads remember that being there with the grandparents is the gift they want most. When we get home from the trip we will give ourselves a break from cooking for a few nights and get the yummy bbq.

I did a prime rib from Wegmans a few years ago. You pop it in the oven in the tin it comes in with a meat thermometer and take it out when it is your desired temp, let it rest, and slice. Added in some roasted green beans, and rolls.

Yes, I just ordered the sliced tenderloin from Wegmans. Will throw some twice baked potatoes in the oven and makes green beans and a salad.

I make a lasagna the day before and leave it in the fridge. Pop it in the oven on Christmas Day. Make a quick spinach and dried cranberry salad. Easy, delicious, minimal fuss.

Sandwiches, frozen snacks from Trader Joe's, Cheese/crackers/Sausage with cut veggies and dip.

I always think doing a big meal on Christmas is a bad idea anyway because people have been snacking on cookies and such all day and no one is super hungry. Christmas brunch can be fun.

Anyone have a super easy Christmas dinner that isn’t honey baked ham? Not looking to add more stress to the day as I have young kids but still need to feed them and my parents. Thanks!
