Look up the Eagle Brand fudge recipe with sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and vanilla. Get really good chocolate chips like ghirardelli or guitard .. You just have to microwave the chocolate chips for short bursts and stir frequently. It takes 5 minutes and then you let it set in the fridge. You can add nuts or coconut or candy cane bits.

I made these one year when I was on the hook for class treats but my oven broke — made them in my toaster oven! Turned out great with the Rolo pieces as the binding between the holiday M&Ms and the pretzel squares! And they looked so cute.

I make these, warm & cozy molasses cookies.

I don't bother to chill, just mix, spoon on sheet & bake, very fool-proof. If kids don't love molasses, sub for honey.

Thanks to DCUM: spread pretzel snaps (the square ones) on a baking sheet, add one piece of whatever chocolate (any flavor hershey's kiss, mini peppermint patty, mini peanut butter cup, rolo, etc), heat at 250 for 3 minutes, then smush a red/green m&m in the center of the melted chocolate, cool. repeat as needed. these also freeze great.

We made these last year and the cookie part was really dry and cracked when we put the kiss on top. Not as delicious as I remember! But clearly they were overcooked or missing something....

They are super easy. Ditto for gingersnaps, which are another cookie that you just roll and bake. My family's two favorite cookies are, fortunately, the easiest to make!

If you’re doing it with kids, don’t worry about the mess. We make sugar cut out cookies and then make bowls of colored frosting with powdered sugar, water, and food coloring, and then cover with sprinkles.

Corn flake holly cookies. My mom is not a baker and she makes these every year. She sometimes uses red frosting instead of the red hots because everyone just picks them off. I’m sure they’re not “classy” enough for DCUM but everyone loves them.

The saltine toffee is pretty quick and easy. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and have the kids cover it with saltine crackers. You melt butter and sugar in a pan on the stove then pour it over the crackers. Bake it for a bit and then sprinkle a bag of chocolate chips over the top and spread them smooth as they melt. Sprinkle with holiday sprinkles or nuts and let it cool.

Make choc. chip cookies and swap out the chips for M&Ms. Even easier if you buy the pre-made bag of sugar cookie mix so all you need is just to add butter/eggs and M&Ms.

I task my kids with going through their Halloween candy and pulling out all the green and red M&Ms.

I am hopeless with piping bags, frosting, etc. Does anyone have easy Christmas cookie or treat recipes? This is the one I do every year
