+1 This. Unless DC is a science genius wanting to go straight to AP Chem but has Honors Chemistry as a prerequisite they don’t really need to succeed.

Pp notwithstanding, a lot of kids struggle with Honors Chem. That and Honors Algebra 2. Summer school is fast-paced and tough for almost any class. I’d do it again for health but I wouldn’t want my kid to do it for most core academic classes. Maybe Geometry or English.
