+2 never liked them even the ones from Germany prob b.c I grew up eating insanely sweet American stuff like cinnamon rolls

Rodman’s. Look for the one that comes from a bakery in Dresden.

Stollen is not supposed to be like a soft American style cake. It is more of a sweet bread that can last for a while.

At the Holiday Market just outside Gallery Place metro station there is a vendor tent of German delicacies. I’ll bet that’s a good source. (There are some really good vendors — I found a guy who makes common tools and house components out of chocolate, amazing (I got a chocolate hose Bibb and gate valve)

+1 lived in Germany don’t think there’s such a thing as good stollen personally. Ah well.
