there is always going to be some new covid variant, from now until the end of time. so decide how you want to proceed with your life. and realize that your kid gets only go at childhood, and faces very minimal health risks from covid, but very serious mental health risks from living in terror and restrictions for the rest of his life.

This is likely the new normal. If your child would enjoy outdoor camps, then by all means do that, but if he would enjoy coding/STEM camps, don't avoid them because covid isn't going anywhere.

Just in case omicron or a new variant might be a problem this coming summer, should I sign up as many outdoor camp as possible? That mean to try to avoid signing up coding camp, indoor sports/art/stem camp out of precaution even though my kid (age 7) is fully vaccinated. I don't think camp will be canceled, but that may help to lower the risk my kid could be infected with covid or get quarantined.
